Second in the Gemma Doyle trilogy. Can't recommend this one. It was predictable and seemed to go on about nothing. Worked for Seinfeld, not so much for Gemma.

The second book in the trilogy brought on more character development and relationship development as well, which was exciting. However, I felt like the events were stunted. The book builds up to a pretty tense climax, then it all just sort of fizzles out in an unexpectedly flat ending. Perhaps it's because it's the middle book in a trilogy, but I didn't rush out to get the third book when I finished it, which says a lot considering my reaction to the first book. All in all, though, a great read that is as well-written as the first book in the trilogy.
