Romantic suspense and Nora Roberts go hand-in-hand. I truly enjoyed this story of Phoebe, a hostage negotiator, and Duncan, a man who is unlike any you've ever read about before!This is a great read.

I really enjoyed this book, it had my attention the whole time.I just could not put it down, i have always loved nora's books.This one tackles some pretty horrific themes-her stories are about redemption of self,a great romantic thriller.

This makes the first Nora Roberts novel I've ever read. I liked the first storyline, which was tense and one that was hard to put down - a female hostage negotiator is targeted first by an unstable co-worker, then by the mysterious "whistling man". The second storyline - sappy romance between a take-charge woman and lottery millionaire - was somewhat predictable... aren't they all? Other than that, it was a pretty good read.

Phoebe MacNamara is the chief hostage negotiator for the Savannah police force. One of the cases she is called to deal with ends in her meeting the intriguing Duncan. An unknown enemy begins a threatening and devastating personal attack on Phoebe, which could cost many lives. Duncan and Phoebe have to discover who is behind it before it's too late. Overall a gripping story-line which I thoroughly enjoyed. The only complaint I have is that Duncan just seems too-good-to-be-true - are there really men as good as him in real life?
