This was a great book. I would tell anyone they should read it, it is action packed. Any thing by Tom Clancy is a good book.

So good I felt like I was a guerrila figher in the jungles of Colombia right along side John Clark and co. while "marginally disrupting" the Colombian drug trade.

Another in the Jack Ryan series, although surprisingly he isnt the main charactor in the book. Dealing with Drug Cartels in Columbia and the Drugs trade in the US, the plot may be hard for some to follow. I found it very enjoyable and have just finished my third read of the book. It is slightly dated now, eg all the soldiers in the jungles would surely have satellite phones and GPS trackers with them now. Overlooking all that, one of Clancy best, and not a bad film either.

The book far outstripped the movie...especially with the ending. I don't think Hollywood did the book any justice when they made the film. (The two were so far apart, the only thing they seemed to share was the title and character names.)
