really thought this was cool book. It combined things like a cop story with some ancient stories of things like the creatures of clay that are created to do your bidding with people that believe they are gods. Think it's meant as a scary book but it's actually kind of thrilling. haha

Now that I am done- Pleasantly surprised by this book. Nice change of viewpoints as the the story switches charachters. Especially Woofer.koontz has never been my favorite horror author. however, he is good. with that said, i must point out that this book surprizes me in the fact that his charachters so far do not have unlimited money and cars like in other stories (watchers, tick tock). a nice change. more realistics- well as realistic as you can get with demons and shapeshifters and such...

It's the first Dean Koontz book I ever read. I've been reading them ever since. Of course things would have been different if that damned dog had died. I never would have picked up another one of his books if it had.

I just discovered this one at the library the other day...primo Koontz. One of his earlier forays into quantum physics concepts. Love the first-person POV on the dog, too!
