If you have ever read any of Clancy's books with John Clark, you have to read this book. Talks about who John Clark was before he became John Clark. This is a bit different from Clancy's other books...at first I was surprised and wasn't sure I agreed with the main character, but I did understand at the end where he was coming from. A must read for any Clancy fan.

Excellant, not at all what i expected from clancy after reading Red Storm Rising, a Very personal singular focus to this novel, not the very broad feel encompasing whole countries intel, command, military, and politial situations. A veritable action thiller with a very good main character.

This one gets a five out of five from me. Easily. I was in love with this book from start to finish. John Kelly's character is nothing short from amazing. Clancy's talent for creating such characters is inhuman. Definitely check this one out.

Kelly/Clark is my favorite Clancy character so this is my favorite book ... Certainly the plots been done before, guy is a SEAL, loves, loses love, finds new love, new love killed ... revenge time ... But it feels more visceral than that and I enjoy Clancy's attention to details.

Have read all of the Jack Ryan series, but this one I've been through four times. Amazing. Would love to see a good movie adaptation of it, but given their latest attempts I would rather see it stay on the page than ruined for me.
