Dean Koontz, the master of mystery. One of the first Koontz books I read and it made me read more of his work.

I love this book, Koontz has some other spectacular books, but the non human characters in this book are the defining factor. The dog is absolutly lovable, and the counter part is absolutly and chillingly inhuman on such a level that its terrifying
