Incredibly slow first half. Second half picks up, but the finale is far too abrupt. Not bad, needs to be 200 pages shorter.

it gives light to characters in his other books. but honestly not much more than that. it still manages to me interesting in most cases though.

This title is the straw that broke the camel's back for me! I can no longer tolerate Clancy's two dimensional characters and constant pro military, rah rah attitude! Let others write the serial books and give it up Clancy!

This book got interesting towards the middle. It was about the KGB and the international world of espionage. The ending was predictable and could have been a bit more exciting.

One of the best Tom Clancy novels I have read up to date. Probably one of the easier ones to read. The jacket cover, I believe, gives more hype, than really happens in the book. Compared to Patriot Games and other Clancy novels, the drama, is relatively tame.
