An okay book... reading it just to find out the ending, although it is predictable. Set in a fictional place in FL.

Just horrible! The narrative veers into abstract rumbling. For example you have a dramatic scene with two sisters drowning and then just as the scene goes into climax the narrator says she looks at her sister and stats thinking of something airy fairy...then you have no idea what the narrator is talking about as it's some abstract attempt at poetics and I read the scene 4 times and still had no idea what was going on in the last bits. The author uses 2 1st person POV characters who sound identical in voice, and the story isn't gripping. I just kept putting it down and reading other things.

It was an okay book, just wanted to finish it because I had already started it. Dont get me wrong the author has a nice way of telling the story but it was simple if you ask me

Wow - what story! About two sisters who are sparated and then come back togther to rediscover who they really are!

This is a mesmerizing book... the characters are incredibly well-developed. In hindsight, some of the plot moves and twists don't seem plausible, but they sure put this book in the "page-turner" category. Far better than the average summer beach read!

There is nothing genius about this book. Years of family issues and turmoil are miraculously cured with a weeks vacation. A woman who knows her husband is cheating on her doesn't do anything about it until he flaunts and the author makes it seem as if she doesn't really care.
