"Courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy lift us above the simple beasts and define humanity.." This is quoted by the author himself for his other book "Strangers" but IMHO, it is well suited for this particular book "Twilight Eyes"... Hope the goblins is really fictionous amongst humankind..

I have mixed feelings about this book. I really liked the first half which kind of reminded me of Odd Thomas which is my favorite Dean Koontz book. However, I found the second half quite tedious.

This is the first book I'd ever read from Dean Koontz. And I was immediately hooked. This will turn your expectations on it's head.

This was probably the second or third Koontz book I read when I was a kid. I can see why I liked it, but in retrospect the whole thing seemed a bit cheezy to me. It was like, anything that was potentially creepy and chilling was negated by the poorly written "love story". It's fun..but by no means is it anywhere near his best.

My all time favorite Koontz novel and probably in my top 10 of the genre. Quick paced and suspenseful read. Though perhaps predictable, it's a great story exploring in a fictionalized "thriller" setting, the psychopathology of religion.

i just finished reading the book and its my first koontz book ever....i feel the story was quite engaging and fast-paced, but at times koontz style of writing can be really distracting especially when he describes places and feelings....

I agree with Stephen, excellent and better than a lot of his newer stuff (past 3-5 years) FANTASTIC! One of the 1st by DK that I read quite a few years back & I could not put it down! I love all things scary/horror/paranormal I stayed up so late reading it I did not want to sleep! A must read for the new DK fan/reader. This book shows you his true genius & scares you a little bit too!
