This so far has been my least favorite Charlaine Harris book. I am going to read the 2nd in the series because I have it already and then judge. I just couldn't care much about the main charachter. This series so far is just too tame for me.

This is an easy read with just the right amount of mystery. Besides who doesn't like a librarian sleuth.

Enjoyed this 3rd book in the Aurora Teagarden series. Not "serious" literature, but great for a break from the routine when you just want something light and amusing.

After a very slow start, I found that I really enjoyed this book. It was a good start to a series, and I'll definitely go forward and read at least the next few in this series.

I only gave it 3 stars because it's not ever going to be a great work of fiction, but it was completely enjoyable. It's a great snowy-day or beach read and I'd recommend it to my friends who're looking for something light and interesting.

It's not an I-can't-put-it-down kind of book, but it has an interesting plot with likable characters.

I enjoyed the plot although it isn't up to par with the Sookie Stackhouse series.

Nice easy fast read. Good story and characters. Perhaps even more interesting because its so totally different from the Stackhouse books. Quite the author so craft such completely different series.

I generally enjoy Charlaine Harris, but this book was a headache to read. There were so many characters I gave up on trying to keep them all straight.

As a fan of her Souther Vampire series, I found this book extremely dissapointing. Perhaps the worst murder-mystery book I have ever read. She needs to stick to writing books about the supernatural.

I am really enjoying this series. MUCH more that the "Sookie" books. Almost as much as the "Harper Connelly" series. I think its because Aurora is a "normal" girl, there is nothing "supernatural going on here and her only one oddness is her fondness for reading and discussing "true crime" books.

Aurora is in need of a house. She is also in need of a job. so she decides to combine the two and tried working for her real estate selling maven of a mother (which IMHO, is ALWAYS a bad idea). But when bodies start appearing in the houses they are showing, Aurora throws off the real estate bug and is determined to solve this case. Throw in a man to whom she is INSTANTLY attracted to (and vice versa) and you've got a REALLY good read, with a VERY interesting twist to the "whodunit"!!

This book was great, I love Charliane Harris for her ability to write readable material... You can just fly through her books, and enjoy every minute of it. I've only read one other series of hers The Southern Mystery Vampire Series. For me it's very hard to compare the two. I loved that series but I'm only on book 4 of this series, and feel it is to soon to tell which one I enjoy more is. But both have a wonderful female character, but their personalities are very different.. well aside from the fact that both are brave and try to do what's right. This book I think was kind of a turning point that picked up more and helped me to enjoy the series more. I really like the first two books, but only in the this book have I been getting more into the characters, just like I did with the sookie stackhouse books. I am looking forward to what the rest of the series has to offer. For the first time in this book you get to see Roe kind of go weak in the knees, sure she dates in the first two books, but she doesn't seem overly interested in the men she dates. It's nice to see that she can be swept away by passion.

I am a big fan of the Sookie Stackhouse series and was happy to find out that Harris wrote a few other different types of series. This is a true mystery novel, no supernatural stuff going on here! The main character Aurora Teagarden is a librarian that leads a quiet life..her one quirk..she is a member of a club called "real murders" that meets once a month to discuss famous murder cases. This hobby is normally safe, but one night she discovers the body of one of her club members and the creepy part is the person was killed in a manner similar to the case they were about to discuss. From here other copy cat killings follow. It was a page turner for me and kept me guessing right until the end (which I always like!) I plan to continue the series...my only hope is that Aurora's character is a little more developed!

This series is OK. So far I prefer her other three series' I've read: Sookie Stackhouse, Harper Connely, and Lily Bard. There was something about this character and story in general that just didn't quite grab me the way the others have. Also, I thought the ending was predictable.

Having recently inherited some money and quitting her job at the library, Aurora tries her hand at selling real estate in her free time for her mom's agency. However, the first house she shows has a dead body in it! And so the mystery begins! A new romance for Roe as well...no more minister Aubrey, and boy she wrote him off pretty quick...didn't even really have an official break up. He just up and disappeared...found that kind of odd. Maybe he will pop up later? Still think Martin is trouble...will have to continue on to see if I am right!

You would think, that in starting another series by this author, that I would be SO tired of her writing. And yes here I am, sucked in by ANOTHER series by her. And this too, seems like its going to be a a good one.

Roe (short for Aurora) Teagarden leads a pretty quiet life. She enjoys her job as a librarian and leads a pretty quiet nightlife. Her one hobby is "Real Murders", a group of people who meet once a month to discuss old "true crime" stories.

But when the group next meets, something goes terribly wrong. One of the members is murdered and the murder mimics the VERY case they were going to currently discuss.

As the town (and the Real Murders members) become paralyzed by the idea of someone copycatting old murders and wondering who might be next, Roe, along with some new friends, has to use every whit available to her to stop these murders before she too ends up on the deceased list.

Really good read. Had NO idea who-dun-it until really close to the end. Which really creeped me out!! YAY!!
