This story caught my eye and curiosity because of those lawsuit and some negotiation under table among lawyers, prosecutors, FBI, judges... There're money laundering, litigants, a plot to abscond, 90,000,000 USD was stolen, trust in lovers and old friends! Very readable and could learn something from there. It is ironic that money can buy everything, and also conscience, morality and one's soul as well. And end up in nothing... nothing at all.

After dancing around Grisham for awhile I finally grabbed The Partner and became hooked on his novels. The power of greed and ultimately the impact on people caught up in it are showcased in this book. I enjoyed the characters and the book flowed so well I had to force myself to put it down at night. A legal thriller that was fun to read.

its amazing how a middle aged 40 sumthing man decides 2 do d vanishing act..not alone..not wd his family..but wd millions of green buck..leaving behind a world which is cruel and cold..leaving behind a profession whre hs other 3 partners were plang big without his consultance or knowledge..leaving behind his unfaithful wife and her fav gigolo....leavng bhnd his lil daughter whch is not actually his...and embraces a new life in d afr quiet rio...far far away from d madding crowd..but he gets caught..dats whre d story starts...producing d long-collected and well documented evidences..and d way d protagonist ducks d criminal charges is d final icing 2 d cake...and d very very last chapter is m favouryt..wen,.after all ds mayhem...and ultimate freedom..he gets 2 kno wat reality is...thanx a lot Mr.GRISHAM...urs faithfully..Ipsita:)

Like all of Grisham's books, this was a real page turner that I couldn't put down. It kept me up late on a many a nights, trying to get to the end.

The beginning of this book was quite boring, and then it got much better. Everything was very well thought out and planned, and it all came together nicely, resulting in Patrick effectively buying his way out of jail. The end, however, ruined it. Eva abandoning Patrick was completely absurd, inconsistent with the rest of the book, and an extremely unsatisfying ending. It ruined the rest of the book, and, in my opinion, was a very tasteless ending.

Thats a masterpiece from Grisham. A helluva story where mystery and details unravel slowly and has the reader sinking into it. Unlike other Grisham's books, here the plot is more complex and moves at a break-neck speed. A dead man, life on run, car wreck, divorce, federal crime, capital murder, search across continents, precise planning by the protagonist Patrick.....every detail is tremendously exciting...Grisham once again has the reader confused as to which of his work is the best!

Nice story of a person who was caught for cheating his country and his colleagues for 4 yrs.... But before he is caught he made all the arrangement so that he will be free in days.. He he actually manage to did it... but his victory is still of no worth and y.... read it:)

I will be honest with you I loved this book it has knocked Grishams book 'The Firm' off the top spot of my favorite Grisham novels. I loved the twists and how Patrick had planned everything so well and what he would do to get rid of his past to move on with his future. I would highly recommend this book it was a thrilling read. I am definatly going to read it again in the future.
