this was really cute because it was told from a childs point of view and so wording and so forth was childlike even though the story was not. it ended pretty sad for many people.

A sad narrative about a girl growing up and also how she relates to a neighbor boy (with I assume autism). He never speaks to her with words, but Katie grows to understand certain things about him. Tragedy strikes near the end with Jacob, the silent boy, having his motives misunderstood and dealing with the permanent consequences of his actions.

I don't think I enjoyed it as much as I could have since I read it with my English class... but that's ok. It was still really good.
