Harris does a fantastic job of tieing together a vampiric love story along with all the necessaries: blood, sex, magic, mystery, violence, and a plethora of supernatural beings. Better than anything Stephanie Meyer could ever produce and easily on the same level as Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. A must read for any fan of vampire literature.

These books are captivating and fantastic! You just can't put them down. Real page turners! The character of Sookie is a great character to follow as she is engulfed with the world of vampires, were-animals, and fairies!

I'm on the 4th book in this series, out of 9. Started watching season 2 of True Blood, which varies from the books after season 1. The stories have more of a convoluted plot than Twilight, and I like her writing style, I can practically hear the actors speaking their parts in my head.
