The most magical and for me best of William Gibson's book.

Really underrated second book in the Sprawl Trilogy. No Molly Millions, but still awesome.

I love Gibson's writing style, but this one was really 3 novellas that only made passing reference to each other until the end of the book. So trying to remember where the current thread picks up after 2 intervening chapters was...annoying. Good stories if that wouldn't bother you.

Not as good as the first book, and very different. Again the story was not interesting, it was the moods and world which was what held the book up. If you like finishing trilogies then pick up this book.

The book that started the whole cyberpunk genre. You can't go wrong with William Gibson

Re-read it for the fifth or sixth time. One of Gibson's best, perhaps even better than Mona Lisa Overdrive. Doesn't seem dated, even though it's now over 20 years old.

Biggest downside is that if you have not read Neuromancer, you will not figure out the story. The plot will still be interesting, but what the loa are, who the mystery artist is, and the cause of all the novel's events will be pretty much unknown to you without knowing the events of Neuromancer.

Strong followup to Neuromancer. Many similarities, but it is not a repackaging of the earlier masterpiece. The incorporation and unique characterization of the Voodoo Loa is stunningly original and inspires admiration, respect, and applause for the imagination and artistry of William Gibson.
