I stopped reading the series after this book. Enjoyable, but does not out do any of the previous books. In fact, It appears that the series only continues this trend of maintaining a minimal entertainment value, while becoming less engaging.

Couldn't get into this one. There are events in this book, but for the most it is endless conversation of theory and philosophy that goes completely over my head. The original Dune had many a discussion over ecology, politics and religion that I can get into but this one is way too complex and difficult to relate. Memorable events are few and far between.

Probably my all time favorite read. Few characters in literature, and none in science fiction, touch Leto II. Herbert's brilliance hit its peak with this single novel.
