This one took a little effort to get into it. It starts off with a boat scene, and then goes off into an entirely diff. tangent and then comes full circle back to the boat scene- but now you know what is going on and why. It was done brilliantly and once you get into the book and know who's who and what's what- this book turned out to be a real page turner and really interesting!

As a follower of Sheldon, I truly believe to have a taste of unreal real life you’ve got to read him. I will like to warn you all not to go further if you are keen to miss dinners and lunchs readingthis onbecause what I am going to pen down might kill the mystery.........if there is any.Hey! Dont get me wrong I worship the guy, even his worst (which Ive not read till now) will be far better than half of the books out there. And I did like this book even though its the closest Sheldon has come to confusing me, I mean the guy I thought was unimportant and mere accesory turned out to be the hero, the woman who I thought was the heroine became the villian and the guy who I thought was her was actually a victim. The confusion sorted itself out after an hour or so of reading the book and I am gonna let u all figure it out yourself after youve read the book.Despite of everything the book is an EXPERIENCE.....the journey of Toby rising up the ladder of fame..... Jill’s struggle and getting what she wanted only when she didn’t only change her name but also herself.. her personality...the hatered she harbours for everyone for making her sell her soul...but this experience is not always warm and sunny, some digusting scenes are described in this book only to shriek out the ugliest side of showbizz. For the first time Sheldon didn’t create heroes or heroines.....he created characters, their reaction to things is exactly what anyone one in those circumstances would have done AND maybe thats the problem with the book you can predict whats gonna happen in next few pagesIf this made you think youll postpone reading this one please don’t. TAKE MY WORD you can predict the next page but not the next incident and the way this book has been written makes up for all its faults.The characters grow and age as if they are people you know you se.......even without the help of flashbacks, which is commendable Thers just one question I couldn’t figure out... help me....does Jill love toby???

it has one of the most believable, well woven plots. sexy is the word. Toby Templeton is part of every star you've known about.

the worst book i ever read... written by sidney... i would say, even debby holt is far better than sidney... let me read other sidney sheldon books and judge him.. however i have a feeling that he is not my kind...

well the story is about a girl jill castle who grew up in a small town.she later moved to la in order to become a star.well she met a rich guy toby got married to him .well the whole story ends when she died and she acually killed her husband by drowing him bcos she met her first love and at the end of the day he dumped her when he heard of what she did in when she first got to hollywood. over all it was a nice book
