Margaret Mitchel's timeless classic novel about the Civil War period is a very moving written work. All the familiar characters are there: Scarlett O'Hara, Rhett Butler, Melanie Hamilton and Ashley Wilkes. I found it very enjoyable reading and a great addition to the 1930's film starring Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh. There were some differences that made the book more interesting. Scarlett has another son and daughter that are not in the movie for example.
