I just finished this one. This is a great story and a great page turner. There are a lot of spelling errors though. Shame on the editor.

ABSOLUTE POWER is one of those books you pick up at the airport on your way out of town that you finish long before you come back. A fast read about a career criminal, his daughter who may have to turn him in, the straight-arrow policeman who used to be her fiance and the evil politician whose crime the career criminal accidentally witnesses. Give Baldacci credit in this, his first book -- he is good with dirty sex scenes. Made into a slick movie starring Clint Eastwood, Laura Linney, Ed Harris and Gene Hackman.

Am still reading this book....the sexual content is fairly explicit but the the story is interestingly woven. Basic plot involves the murder of a lady by 2 Secret Service agents in the line of duty to protect the President of USA. This is witnessed by Luther Whitney a burgler and what happens after is what forms the plot.
