I picked up this audio book at the library without much expectation other than “get rich quick.” Boy was I wrong. This book is another must read. It is realistic, rational, and easy to understand as it is common sense. The ultimate goal is that we find our niche and be comfortable and happy where we are in life. Yet there is indeed four quadrants in the working world. You are an employee, self employed, a business owner, and/or an investor. This book primarily helps you define which quadrant that you belong. Then secondarily it helps you define which quadrant you want to belong. It then provides tools to help you get there. This is a fantastic book to help you reflect upon what you have done in your career and where you want to go; no matter what stage in life you reside.

This book is a hard read. The concepts are way different than most people. By understanding what words you use, you can understand what kind of money person you are. Its radically different than what most people would tell you. Read it a few times and you will understand what it is about.

This was a real light bulb book for me and it's content is still very helpful years on. I recommend you read the first Rich Dad Poor Dad book first but this is my favourite of all the Rich Dad series. It's model gives clarity to where you are and where you are going in your financial life. Highly recommended.

Wonderful book! This is something that's used in many successful business'. One that I know of specifically is Primerica Financial Services, the marketing division of Citi Group. Citi Group is the first trillion dollar business in the United States and I can imagine around the world. But, I do know that this is a very important read for those who are interested in being financially free. This book prepares the reader to become an investor and gives insight to the mind sets one has to have to be an employee, self employed, business owner, and investor. This book is for those who want to become business owners and eventually use their money to invest in. I found to be an investor you have to take the chess mind set. There's one goal, and there's one way to press twoard the goal. You have to work to learn, and you have to learn that you have to lose to win. The most successful people are those who are the biggest losers! but through our failures we learn the most valuble lessons.

some books just come to you when you're ready for them. this book has been in the house for like two years; I used to pass it almost every day. but last week, in the middle of my search for a shift in paradigms, I picked it up...a year ago, it would have made little sense to me. but now, it speaks to me, showing me which direction I need to go; but I know it isn't like that for everyone, so wait for it to come to you i guess.

If You Liked Rich Dad, Poor Dad, You Must Read This One!,a Practical Optimist"Repetition is the source of mastery, and The Cash Flow Quadrant takes the excellent thinking in Rich Dad, Poor Dad and builds to another level of detail. This information will increase what you learned in Rich Dad, Poor Dad and help you begin the transformation from a salaried or self-employed person into a business owner and investor. The definitions of these four quadrants are important. As an employee, you have a job. As a self-employed person, you own a job. As a business owner you have a system (such as a franchise like McDonald's) that produces cash flow for you and others work for you. As an investor, your money works for you. Rich people are getting more than 70 percent of their cash flow and income by having money work for them. One of the strengths of the book is that it deals with the subtle psychological differences among people in the four different quadrants, especially on subjects like security and freedom. Kiyosaki and Lechter then do a nice job of helping you understand the difference between risky and taking risk. The latter is a good idea, when you know what you are doing, and the former is always to be avoided. The book is not dogmatic, pointing out that good results can be reached in a variety of ways. You have to decide which ones are right for you. In general, you are encouraged to move from the employee and self-employed side for your income to the business owner and investor side. Then, take your cash flow and expand it into investments.Another of the strengths of the book is to make it clearer what the advantages of income property are. In these Internet stock-crazed days, many are looking only to stocks and missing good commercial property opportunities. There are lots of good questions you can use to help frame your road through the cash flow quadant. At a minimum, you will become much more financially literate. With the help of the 7 steps here for making the necessary changes, you should begin to make the transition. The book has a nice conversational tone that turns personal economics into common sense examples and principles. The downside of any book about changing your life is that you can read it much faster than you can master the lessons and apply them. I suggest that you schedule time to reread this book over the next 10 years. That's the best way to check up on yourself and how you are doing.I do recommend that you read Rich Dad, Poor Dad first. You'll get much more out of this book if you do that. Then you'll begin to see opportunities where others see difficulties. Good luck with fulfilling your goals!

This is the worst piece of investment trash ever. It is blatantly obvious Robert Kiyosaki is cashing in on the success of his first book, because he re-hashes everything from that book in this tree-killer.

We've all heard a million times how he made it big in real estate. Maybe if he could get off his high-horse, he'd be able talk about investing rather than himself.

If you're interested in the series, read "Rich Dad Poor Dad", and STOP THERE. There's nothing new here. These aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along.

I love the rich dad series. It gets you thinking about where you are at in your career and more perspective of how your job (quadrant) fits in with the big picture. It also reinforces the idea that having a safe secure high salary job is not the path to become rich but you must cross over to the right side of the quadrant, Business and Investor side.

The book is more focused on the mind set and the high level steps that one must do to achieve wealth as opposed to step by step instructions as to what one should do. Good book that reminds you smart practices with your money and where you should ultimately aim if you want to achieve financial independence.

This book was the very first book to allow me to understand what people meant when they said, "Think like a business owner". It's an excellent book and I highly recommend it to anyone who owns a business or is exploring the idea.

Recommended reading for those who are seeking for financial freedom. It will be a good start for those who see 'jobs' as boring things. However, some ideas may be too radical. So, open up your mind before reading it.

Warning! : Those who want financial security should not read it.
