My friend recommended it to me...he actually gave me three books by David Baldacci...and threatened to take them back if I didn't read... I like the book... touched my heart deeply touched...

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's different than every Baldacci book that I have read. Very lovely. A great story of generations and the love of a mountain.

Enjoy Baldacci's Camel Club characters immensely; this book shows a totally different side of his writing skills. Write with pathos about the hard life of people totally dependant on 'the fruits of the earth'; emotional bonds between people formed in times and places not always of their choosing... enjoy!

One of the earliest books that I have read...Beautiful heart-touching story.....It may not interest the people who gorge on suspense stories and thrillers.....but a good story to escape from reality into the harsh but rugged beauty of the virginia mountains...
