The characters are likeable and relatable, which makes the tragedy of war that much more tragic.

This is the kind of book your dad used to read. Look at that cover. It was a simpler time. And a cheezier one. It's not a bad book. It's not a good one either. But even if it sucked, it's barely 100 pages long, so what are you afraid of, sissy?

Probably the first book I ever read where the protagonist died at the end.
