You need a strong stomach for reading psychological warfare inside a love story, or co-dependency story, depending on how you look at it. The Mike Nichols film starring Burton and Taylor makes a perfect transition to screen.

Compelling, riveting, charming in its own grotesque way. Power dynamics, truth and illusion, hope and disappointment... everything got commingled in the confusing modern society. Even heart-aching at the very end.

Amazing references to WWII and even the Cold War - some really deep stuff that seems random and obscure but is absolutely intentional. Most likely my favorite play.
