Set at the start of world war 2, a sea plane is flying from England to America. On board the passengers include a gangster, a thief, a scientist, a facist. Ken Follett takes over 100 pages to devlope the characters before getting into the action of this 500 page thriller. Loved it, had to rush to finish it!

Now THAT was a trashy read. Found in a seat back pocket (pass it on). Had to read it though -it's partly based in Shediac NB, of all places.

Once again, well written and a lot of fun with a satisfying ending. Folleet is a master of character development. There is a quite a cast in this novel but he keeps you interested in each one's story. Wish they would make this into a movie too!

Another great Follett novel. Enjoyed learning about the Clipper as an air ship. Edge of your seat read and the characters are very interesting.
