I'm a huge King fan, so, that being said, I don't think there's a novel of his out there that I wouldn't recommend. But this one is not one of his best. The characters were thrown at the reader too fast, in my opinion. Too many, too fast. The premise was WAY out there...even for King! But I can't say it didn't hold my attention. Over 400 pages flew right by! If you haven't read Stephen King, this is not the one to start with, but if you have, and missed this one, it's worth picking-up.

This one did not seem as carefully put together as "Desperation". The fact that many of the characters had the same names as in the other book just confused me and made it harder for me to keep track of them. And the ending baffled me. Bit of a misfire, alas.

I loved this story. I must have read it 50 times over the past 10+ years. It's a great read when you're needing to leave the real world for awhile.

Not one of my favorites. Too much supernatural stuff that I found difficult to follow. I never read the "Dark Tower" series but I think this is more in the line of that genre.

Not to be read as a Stephen King novel. King isn't writing this as himself. That said, I really liked it. It's a companion book to Desperation, but don't read them together or you'll be confused. They use the same character names but are wildly different.Regulators is one part psychological horror, one part gore-fest. It's incredibly suspenseful and cool.
