Wonderful read. The British history buff in me shrieked with delight through the whole book. It was compelling and engaging. Unfortunately the sequel World without End was not nearly as compelling.

I am listening to this book via Audible. A very intriguing story so far. It certainly seems to capture the reality of living in those days as a laborer roaming the country looking for work as you go along.

The story line is enchanting. Never I have read with enthusiasm about constructing a building. I just could not put the book down. The characters are strong and the writers description about everything is just wonderful.

Just one of my fave book. The characters are strong and you feel connected to the them. U cheer for the heroes and you hate the villains. It will take a tremendous effort for anyone to read because of the 1000+ pages...but you just can't put it down when you start. Cant wait to read "Worlds Without End"
