Finale to the trilogy style in the vein of Tolkien. Amazing and heartbreaking even. This series is worthy of many rereads!!

the conclusion to the Fionavar Tapestry, last of the series is the best out of the tree. if anyone likes Fantasy they should get their hands on this brilliant series. definately one of my favorites

Absolutely loved this Trilogy. And I don't even consider myself a lover of Fantasy books. Could not put it down. I actually read the version, where all 3 books were bound in one huge book, and I literally carried it everywhere. I would be caught reading it in the movies before a show starts.... I was obsessed....

It has the endless ending problem as it tries to wrap up loose ends. Still, well written and engaging.

A bit predictable and it left some ends untied. I would have liked to know what happened to the characters after. Book 2 was the best of the trilogy, by far.

This series was an absolute delight! When I started the first book it seemed somewhat interesting and I though I would like it but it kept getting better and better and by the end of the third book, I realized it could very well be my favorite fantasy series of all time! A must read for fantasy lovers!!

I agree with some of the reviewers here...definitely the best Fantasy trilogy i have read since Lord of the Rings. I especially enjoyed how he started us off in contemporary times, using people we might have actually met in our lives and then takes them off to another time and place. That really helped me to invest in the characters and made it something of a unique tale. I, personally, do not see the importance of heaping a judgment on the book's literary merits...at the end of the day, you either like the book (because if faithfully adheres to the format of fantasy fiction), or you do not (because you don't appreciate fantasy, or are to enamored with your own self-importance as a critic). Great book! I enjoyed it!

Just finished reading it (I don't know how I've never heard of it before). Definitely one of the best fantasy books I've read. The fact that you don't know who’s going to survive made it very different from other books but the deaths are intertwined into the plot and the overall thread in a way that gives them sense and doesn't leave you frustrated like in the case of George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" where every 5 seconds one of your heroes dies.

I didn't really like this trilogy. I appreciated the fact that Kay was not afraid to have characters die if necessary, but it seemed that many deaths were unnecessary. Also, I did not find his explanations of why certain events took place as adequate (for example the immortality of Maugrim) and some events not even recieving a mention (for example how the reincarnation of Guenivere was even possible). The use of Arthurian Legend was clever, but poorly executed. I feel it got in the way of the overall story and added unnecessary sorrow to it. He would have been better served by creating more new characters. Overall, I would give it a 5/10, tops.

A wonderful ending to a mind-boggling trilogy. And just like the Weaver in the series, Kay managed to intermingle all the journeys for many characters without being too confusing. I don't normally reread things, but I know I'd definitely want to read this series again.

GGK redeemed himself here. The book has its faults which it shares with the entire trilogy, but his ability to draw very vivid characters and portray deep emotions save the story from itself. In his later works he successfully mastered his weaknesses and honed his strengths to become a novelist of exceptional power.

I haven't finished reading it...I can't...it moves far too slow. One expects that a few hundred pages in they will be involved and not be able to put the book down...but twice I've tried to read it and twice I've failed.

I haven't enjoyed a fantasy trilogy like this since Lord of the Rings. It seemed everyone was doing a Tolkienesque fantasy, offering nothing new. What I loved about the Fionavar Tapestry was that it was different. It was more heartbreaking and darker than LotR, which I really appreciated, though it left me crying on my pillow more than once in a while. I will definetely pick up another book by Kay in the near future.

An amazing journey and worthy end to the trilogy. a fantasy beyond imagining, a world that captures your imagination with characters you are truly invested in. mr. kay is a lovely writer, i was actually exhilarated at the end of this saga, and truly saddened to leave the characters behind. Excellent and highly recommended for lovers of fantasy.
