So i'm pretty sure that Amory and Scott are the same person.

Not a bad read, however, this book seemed initially to lack real direction until the very end. Through most of the book I wondered where Fitzgerald's descriptions of Amory Blaine's idealistic views would take me, yet at the end I realized that it was a prelude to Blaine questioning all he once believed to be true and his ultimate acceptance of Socialism. This book is very poetically and beautifully written, however, it is something I will have to read again to get a better appreciation of it.

I love everything by F Scott Fitzgerald. He never fails to describe exactly an emotion or image so that the reader can instantly relate--quite a talent. This book is comforting, in a way--it reassures the reader that they are, in fact, not alone in questioning their life. Thumbs up.
