Conceptually, it's a really cool play (if I were a real reviewer, I'd say something grand like "it's a landmark play, a real dramatic tour de force"). It's definitely a must-read for anyone who's interested in theater (like The Iceman Cometh, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Streetcar Named Desire, Glass Menagerie, Death of a Salesman, R&G are Dead etc...), but I always feel slightly robbed when I finish reading it. A friend said that R&G is Dead is Waiting for Godot perfected which I think you could debate until you were blue in the face, but he does have a point: there is definitely room to improve within this play.
