One of my favorite authors and characters, I love the sarcasm and dry humor I can always count on from Coben.

Much better than his latest. Love characters and the interaction between them. In the middle and still not bored.

This was a page turner, but not as thrilling as most Coben books have been. :(

This is one of Coben's Myron Bolitar books. These tend to be written from Myron's point of view and Coben does a good job of playing out his inner voice. As with many of Coben's books, this is a quick read because the story line continues to twist and keep the reader's interest.

Have read the entire Myron Bolitar series and thoroughly enjoyed every book. Long Lost is a bit of a departure for Myron what with the international terrorism plot, and I'm sure other loyal readers might not like the reduction of Win and Esperanza's roles. I almost think the plot of Long Lost would have made a better stand alone book than part of the Bolitar series, but that being said, I was engrossed enough that I polished it off in one read. I did, however, figure out "the angle" by chapter 5 which is NOT typical for a Coben book! Hope to see at least one more book for Myron to resolve some of the loose threads from Long Lost and then maybe it's time to be done.

This series has so few installments these days I am embarrassingly thrilled to see another book. Harlan Coben never disappoints me. This plot doesn't involve any of Myron's sports clients and takes a pretty wild leap into international intrigue that includes CIA camps and Mossad and I still loved it. When you read the synopsis you might think of sharks in the water and the Fonz in a jacket, but Coben is one of the few authors that can pull this off. It was a great ride. It saved me on an airplane and I miss Myron and Win already.

As mysteries go, this was alright. However, I repeatedly wondered why Coben was leading me by the hand, throwing out a line and then telling me the different ways I could read it (including the gutter way). Perhaps I've been spoiled by reading too much Ian Rankin... Give me a brooding, middle-aged Scot any day!

I just could not enjoy the humour of this story. In fact some of the jokes were less fun than pushing my own hand through a grater

The book-on-CD version was well done. However, the plot seemed way out of line for the other Bolitar books I have read. He ignores his regular job and gets involved with an international terrorist conspiracy that stretches the limits of credibility (for him). It seems like a non-series Coben book with Bolitar squeezed in. But...it's still a good read and kept me interested in the twists and turns of the plot.

I love Myron Bolitar! He's one of the most unique ongoing characters--a former All-American basketball player at Duke who went to Harvard Law. Now he's a wise-cracking agent who's generally investigating something. This story was fresh and contemporary-a step beyond the usual thriller. I really enjoyed it.

OK, but slow to start. Cliche use of a 'magic friend' with money, connections and super-powers to save our hero. Some echoes of "Boys From Brazil" from back in the late 60s or early 70s. Was that one by Ira Levin?

This author is incredibly entertaining. The comic reliefs he throws in here and there were just spectacular, kept snapping me back in to the story. I loved the plot. Myron and Win form the most unlikely friendship, that somehow works. Fun read!

After just reading "The Woods" by Coben, I was waiting with baited breath for this last novel to come out. While not as riveting as "The Woods", "Long Lost" still had a plot that kept you interested long enough with Coben's usual flair for writing infused with his lovable sarcasm and sense of humor.

A good read! Harlan Coben is Billiam's favorite author and I have never been as big a fan as he, but Long Lost changed my mind. Harlan has another fan! Two thumbs up!

Well, I have been waiting quite some time for the return of Myron Bolitar and his crew, but I guess they have been growing and changing while we weren't watching.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the book, but the tone and the characters were a bit darker this time. Happy go lucky Myron, has a few jagged edges when we meet him and even more by the time the story closes.

For those of you who know and love Myron, I would suggest this book. If you have never met him, please don't read this one first. Go back to the beginning.

I am also a bit surprised and dissatisfied by the "bad guys" in the story. Maybe it's me.

Fred also agreed that he approached the book with happiness at seeing an old friend, but was left a little hurt and confused.
