Mary Shelley was before her time, imagine being a young women back in this era and writing such a dark book. Still a classic.

Reading this awesome tale will put to rights those atrociously bad Boris Karloff takes on this tale. There is so much between the lines of this powerful & often very touching story. There is much to discuss in this book for lovers of this classic.I think many who have not read it think of it as 'horror' in the classic 'vampire story' etc. way.But it is so much more than 'horror';which makes it the classic it will always remain.

This truly is a classic book. Mary Shelley was pitch perfect when she constructed the brooding, mysterious, gothic nature of this book. Her anti-industrial sentiments and romantic style can be seen throughout the book. More important than crafting a beautiful gothic novel, her story also had an effect on following writers, and spawned various film, theater, audio, and horror stories. Considered by many to be the first science-fiction novel, Shelley wrote a timeless book that is truly worth the read.

Exhilarating stuff. This book remind me of the phrase "Beware of what you wish for , if that wish comes true . The moral of this theme is humans should weigh all outcomes before embarking upon a experiment or scientific endeavor .
