“This book was wonderful!!!! The romance and drama of the times was uniquely captured in this beautifully written story by Austin! It is the story of a family with a houseful of young women who endure the pressure and challenge of finding and keeping "Mr. Right" and the joy that is experienced when he is found! This historical fiction book would be greatly beneficial during a lesson in colonial times in addition to a lesson in the vocabulary and verbiage used during this time period. This book is great to use in the classroom for students to discover the era and culture of the 19th century in rural England. I would recommend this book at the junior high level, however, with assistance it can be read at a younger level as well. I believe boys could enjoy the story as well. ”

This is by far one of my all time favs. I've read this book at least three times...and even started reading the new trilogy. Love Jane Austen, phenomenal author.
