Probably my favourite Riftwar book. A lot more action in this one compared to the previous two books. It's also a darker book than the others and Jimmy the Hand (one of my favourite Feist characters) comes into his own.

The second part of a trilogy which I found more exciting. A better pace of the action, more happening. I enjoyed it even though still it's not my cup of tea

Not as captivating as the Magician books but I still found it to be quite the page turner. There was the familiarity of most of the characters from before as well as many things mentioned that were part of the Magician books which was good for grabbing my attention. I truly did enjoy this book and look forward to A Darkness at Sethanon.

The entire Magician series is one of the best set of books I have read to date. And I have read a lot since then.
