Vzpomínky na léto a nevinnost dětství z amerického Středozápadu. Jedna z nejkrásnějších knih, co jsem kdy četl.

If you don't get this book at the first reading go back after a bit and read it again. The light bulb should go on almost immediately.

It is one of the few books I have ever read where it feels like you are actually in amongst the characters, Mr Jonas with his cart through baking, still streets. The Colonel listening on the telephone to the tram in some distant city. And if you want to make hairs stand on end the bit where the lady walks home alone through the ravine with the killer on the loose.

I've read it I don't know how many times, it's a blueprint for life and I plan to be buried with my copy.

I'm gonna read it again. As several authors I've listed in my facebook library, I've read a number of their works and choose to pick one to represent their works. Sometimes I'll post more by same author. This wine is worth sipping again.

Dandelion Wine was, in short, amazing. The characters were so real and emotional, and the setting of the book came alive thanks to Bradbury's descriptive work. The best part about this book, though, was that each of the chapters were remarkably different, and I love how it was set up as really a collection of short stories. Some of the stories were heartwarming and light, others helped plot development, and several had very deep meanings that I was able to pull a lesson out of. I would recommend this book to anyone--it's awesome!

A wonderful reminder of the freedome of childhood, the wonder of summer, and the magic that lives in all of us.
