This book was the weakest of the three of in the series but still very good.

I would have given this a 5 out of 5 but Gibson is hard to read for me. Somewhere between migraine and nosebleed.

Even with it's readability I enjoyed it enough to look for other Cyberpunk novels so I picked up Snow Crash, Diamond Age, and Cryptonomicon all by Neal Stephenson.

Hopefully they will be as enjoyable and easier to read.

My first introduction to William Gibson and still my favorite. Turned my view on science fiction forever. The future doesn't have to be tidy and clean and sleek. It can be punk.

Phenominal piece of sci-fi; Gibson has been recognized as a writer of standard for the genre.

My only complaint with this story is the ending, and its really a shared complaint across the entire sprawl trilogy. With Neuromancer the ending worked fine, but with Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive (all three having essentially the same ending--the near-omniscient corporate power manipulating everything for its own benefit implodes and the AI counter-manipulating everything from cyberspace grows even more powerful) the ending was something of a let down. Especially so with MLO.

Definitely the weirdest of the Sprawl trilogy, and it doesn't provide a closure to the strange plot. However it is the end of the trilogy. I read it, enjoyed it. I don't think it offered anything not shown in the other books already. I read it because I love finishing a series I've started.

Yet another classic Gibson. Tied up a lot of loose ends from the other books.
