A fun and ironic look into the future of humanity. Lots of action and a deep complex sci-fi vein for the n3rd in you. Kind of like Davinci Code / Hackers & Shadowrun mixed into one book. I couldn't put it down!

Although a fairly gripping read, the style and story both felt unbalanced. Everything made sense and all story threads concluded satisfactorily, but for some reason I didn't feel satisfied at the end of the book.

One of the pillars of the cyberpunk revolution, but going far beyond the William Gibson flash and glitter and into the realm of true deep thought about the nature of reality, humanity, language and culture... all while retaining a sense of humor and style, and written with the hand of a true literary force. Wonderful!

Fantastic book. The pacing was a little odd at the end, but I LOVED the weaving of Sumerian myth into futuristic cyberpunk into religion.

Amazing depth to scenes and backgrounds; each sketch contains massive amounts of political and social construction: crack for "what if", alternate universe fans, and even "here's how it is" fans like me. If you like having to work to keep up with the story, this is the story for you.

This book is a not-so-futuristic acid trip. Start reading it, and stick with it. You will be rewarded with pizza delivery heros, nubile 15 yr old skateboarder messenger chicks, and Aleut villains repping glass knives and a nuclear bomb. Say what?
