Love the book so far. Enjoy how we go through Riley's transformation into Guardian. She does seem to need some help in the love department, but got to love being free until you find the right one.

I thoroughyl enjoyed this book but i do not like the way keri arthur repeats her lines. Its lacking in diversity when it comes to the sexual scenes. But this is one woman who can surely kick ass and have a good sex life at the same time but of course there is alot of drama to go with it because whats a good paranormal novel without drama :P

It's hard to like a book when you don't really like the main character: Riley Jenson. All she seems to do (from the 1st book all the way through the 4th book - Dangerous Games) is complain, complain, and COMPLAIN about how she doesn't want to be a Guardian, and how she thinks her lover Quinn is too narrow-minded when he doesn't want her to have sex indiscrimmiantly. "Oh, boo-hoo, my boyfriend doens't want me to have sex with other men!" And the sex scenes are not even that good: there's no real emotion portrayed in them, and sex without emotion is just whorish, in my opinion. The one with the biggest heart is Quinn, and she expects him to treat her like a princess when she acts like a whore. Sorry, not my cup of tea. Riley seems to try to be more mature in the 5th book (Embraced by Darkness), when she does her best to only have one man as her lover. I don't understand why she was willing to do that for Kellen when she had a cow whenever Quinn suggested she remain faithful to him. I do have to say, that the series redeemed itself with books #6 (The Darkest Kiss), #7 (Deadly Desire), & #8 (Bound to Shadows). Riley stops acting so childish and immature, starts realizing that sex with someone you actually like is important, and starts to restrain herself sexually with other men. She actually matures! Yay! She starts to actually put some EFFORT in her relationships! Instead of expecting only everyone else to put the effort into her. I think there was actually only one sex scene even shown in The Darkest Kiss, which is pretty impressive for this author. The end to book #8 (Bound to Shadows) was fantastic, and now that I actually like the main character, I'm looking forward to book #9 (Mooon Sworn, coming out 2010, and supposed to be the last in the Riley Jenson Guardian series).

Keri Arthur's books are entertaining, fast paced and well written( at least compared to many of the books out there). My Aunt and Mom recommended it to me as one of the romances books they read. I had my doubts. But I started the first book and quickly finished the rest of the series. Forget the sex, and there is a lot of it, it's a great story, with great characters and all together an enjoyable and worthwhile read.

Just as UNPUTDOWNABLE as the first! The first book kicked the story/series in high-gear, and this book added more to the fact! While most of the characters were the same as the first, there were in no way lacking, the scenery the same and again, lacked in no way. And the twists during this one... holy good god! And after the one thing that happened, I balled my head off, right along with Riley, and we both felt the same way. Arthur grips her reader right from the start, and even with the last sentence of the last paragraph of the last chapter, she doesn't let up. A definite 'must read'!

As a lover of the Dark Angel tv series, this book seems to fulfil not only my vamp interest but the sci-fi mutant stuff as well. Who woulda thought that I would enjoy it as much as I did!
