The second of a series of Odd Thomas books, This will keep your attention with fascinating chacters. The big drawback is the first person narrative. Odd Thomas himself has become too wordy, overly long descriptions and a bit pretentious. I felt the book was rushed and contained a lot of extraneous info.

If you haven't read this series and you like Dean Koontz, you're missing out. It's some of his best work.

I was cautious after 'Brother Odd', but this was great. Odd has his old snappy come-backs and sharp wit that make him one of my favorite characters of all time. I look forward to the next book. :)

It is the first book of this series that I read. I am not too sure where to put it. It is quite strange. But it was interesting enough.

Pretty good, not my favorite in the Odd series because he spends some time setting up the next book. That always makes me feel impatient to just get to the next book.

Love the idea of the story, but tooo descriptive. Koontz is a great story teller w/some of his books. could do without his habit of taking 6 pages to explain the shade of white the side of a building is...(I'm exagerrating...a lil). Found myself skimming to skip the filler content.

An "ok" read. I picked up this book on a whim in an airport before a long flight. I didn't particularly like the character, Odd, who gets visits from famous unsettled dead spirits that have nothing to do with the barely belivable plot. I found the story wierd, maybe that was the point. I did finish it, so it wasn't horrible.
