A great telling of Obi-Wan's youth. It begins the series of stories about how Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon came to be Master and Padawan, and their adventures together. Great writing for any age! (especially Star Wars fans!)

I love this series. For a series written for young adults it is amazingly engaging and entertaining. The stories only get better after Jude Watson takes over in the next books and continues the series. A series worth collecting and re-reading for any dedicated or even casual Star Wars fan. Watching the development of Obi-Wan's character from book to book is really awesome and well put together. Also great to read about the character of Qui-Gon in detail as the saga moves on. Espeically great for me because he was my favorite character in the Star Wars saga but was sadly wasted in the very first episode. You should just read this, skip the prequel films, then watch the older ones.

Amazing story introducing a young Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and a plot that will bring the two together as master and apprentice!
