"Fellowship" is still my favorite part of "Lord of the Rings," both from the book or the film trilogy, even if grand battles aren't the dominant feature. There's just something that can't replace the reader's feelings when Tolkien is describing Rivendell or Lothlorien, or the fight between Gandalf and the Balrog in Moria. And this is only the beginning of over 1000 pages of one story!

After reading the hobbit, I was kind of disappointed by this. I was expecting more action-filled story like the Hobbit. Even though it drags on and on at some points, this book is still a brilliant piece of literature. It is quite amazing how a single man came up with everything in it!

The first book in a series that is not all that it is cracked up to be. Nearly all the characters, races, locations and artifacts are stolen from Norse Mythology, and the chapters go on and on and have probably literally bored people to death.

Este libro me canso mucho, se me muchos me van a golpear pèro si Tolkien se enfocara mas en la historia y no andar describiendo el paisaja y que el sol brillaba sobre el pasto me hubiese gustado mas .lo siento por los fans no se lo tomen personal y no me quieran asesinar
