This book was beautifully written. Gilbert's brilliant way of describing everything, from the countries' distinction to the mouth-watering food to the diverse people, makes for an unforgettable read. I'd recommend this book for anyone interested in learning about different cultures and personal growth.

This book was such an easy read. I got a little bored in India, but when she finally found that inner peace with her ex-husband, my interest peaked once again. I loved how it ended, and I am very glad I read this book.

A light read, largely entertaining for what it is but I found the author's faux naive attitude towards foreign experiences along with her tendency towards self-absorption to be annoying at times. Written from essentially a "Western woman traipsing through foreign lands" perspective that tends to paint the 'natives' as quaint and idiosyncratic characters, not people with complexities and nuances as real as her own.

I really enjoyed listening to Eat, Pray, Love. The audiobook was read by the author her self and she did a great job. I didn't think I would enjoy this book but I ended up loving it.
