The language flows seamlessly through the pages. This translation includes a notes on the translation as well as a prounouncing glossary. The glossary is especially helpful in keeping mortals and immortals straight."
Too long to finish right now.

Could do without the genealogy but Achilles' scene with Priam is unforgettable. And good to dispel all the other false stories about TROY and see what the original is like.

You have to read this book with an open mind. Yes, there is blatant sexism. But if you can ignore that and focus on the book's wonderfully translated lyricism, then you might enjoy it. It does take a while to get used to the unusual format though. A warning for all you Troy fans: this is not like the movie! Don't expect it to be!
