Okay, so I just finished rereading this book and it made me remember why I love VC Andrews' books. The way that Andrews takes the reader through the turmoil of living a life based on lies as well as the way that she stirs emotions within the reader is amazing. She is my favorite author. If I had all of her books, I would never come out of my room. LOL!)

Maybe I am just an old school Virginia Andrews fan....But after she passed away, it was very obvious to me in the stlye of the new writer who is writing under her name. I was not impressed with this book at all. Things got boring during fallen hearts, 3rd in the Casteel series. Which would make sense. That is when the real author passed on. I read this book with hopes, but it was rather boring.

As I remember, this was one of the books 'ghost written' by someone else and attributed to V.C. Andrews. And it showed. Some of the lines were straight out of Flowers in the Attic. Even the flow of the plot wasn't right. It was just a repitition of the usual V.C. Andrews formula: poor, suddenly rich, weird grandparents, and incestuous rape. I read this out of curiosity, to see what this 'ghost writer' would do. I didn't like it at all.

I just love books by V.C Andrews. These books can really get so addicting that it is hard to stop readng till you ae done with the whole book. I haven't read one in a while, but know I want to go out and buy a few. I love to sit back all alone with popcorn and a drink and just open up the book and just READ TILL I CAN'T READ NO MORE!!!

I don't remember the whole series as it's been quite a few years since ive read the books, but I do remember dawn. I picked it up by chance at a grocery store while on a camping trip and couldn't put the book down. Very good book.

this is my absolute favorite series of books from v.c. andrews, other than flowers and the attic ofcourse. But I just loved this serious so much. I got so angry with the first book. I hated, completely hated Grandmother cutler. In my opinion she is the worst villian from any of the V.C. andrews books. some of the things she did in this serious were unimaginable. I loved every single book of this. even the prequals. this is a series that should be turned into a movie. on lifetime or something like that. it would be really interesting and great..anyone whose nervous about reading this book just read my review. if you like V.C. Andrews' style, you'll love this book.
