Best Nazi Fighting Werewolf Book ever written. (OK maybe the only one, but trust me, no one wants to get into that comparison with this book)

This is my favourite book EVER! Which is saying something because I have read and loved a LOT of books. It's like a werewolf james bond story, utterly capivating and really looks into what being such a creature might mean, i usually read it at least twice each year. Read this book!!!

I was kidnapped and forced to read this book against my will. It is totally not the sort of book I would ever read normally. That being said, I was actually very pleasantly surprised. If I'm honest, I found myself skipping through the Nazi-fighting and sex-scene bits after a while, but I really liked the wolf bits. If I have one criticism, it's that I'd have preferred the book just to be about the werewolves and their lives. I could have done without Nazis and sex altogether in this book. So like life.

The most kickass book ever. Honestly. It's about a James Bond type Russian who works for the British Secret Service. As if this isn't cool enough, he's a werewolf. Yep. A werewolf who happens to be on a secret mission that involves infiltrating Nazi Germany. Where else do you get to read about werewolves beating the crap out of Germans? Exactly. Read it. Read it now.

Probably one of the better werewolf stories I've read. The main character, Mikhail/Michael, really makes sense given the history described. I love the combination of pack life, and secret agent Nazi killer. The plot and characters are great, the whole is really well written and definitely action packed with a bit of sensuality on the side. The only flaw I could find, would be with the very end, it wraps up well but its also written a bit vaguely, which having been so explicitly descriptive until then, is kind of annoying. But its still worth the read. Definitely one of my absolute favorite books, period. Read it!

Definitely in my top 5 of fictional books. this book has it all - suspense, danger, excitement, tears of sadness, tears of joy, heart tugging and once it has you will not let you go. Very few books do I read more than once, I have to say I have read this book at least 5 times.

Fun! I love the werewolf lore and McCammon has an interesting take on it. Throwing the werewolf into WWII makes this a fun spy thriller as well.

This is a favorite, but a guilty pleasure. I'm suprised that it hasn't been made into a movie. World War II spy / werewolf, what more do you need?

I love this book. Werewolf vs. Nazis, to oversimplify. Michael Gallatin is a very special British operative during World War II. He is called upon for jobs no one else can do, because he is a werewolf. The book follows two story lines. Michael has to figure out and stop a Nazi plan to strike at the heart of Britain. Along the way he does battle with an American industialist working with the Nazis, who owns a unique train/ torture chamber. It also tells of how young Mikhail Gallatinov becomes a werewolf. He learns to control his wolf nature, and yearns to discover the lycanthrope's place in the world. Basically, this is pure escapist fun, but rendered with intelligence and heart. This is the book that made me a huge fan of Robert McCammon. I love all of his stuff, but this and Stinger are my favorites. I urge you to read them at once.
