The best vampire story I've ever read, and I have read a lot of vampire stories. I highly recomend this book, especially if you like horror stories

This was one of the first horor novels I read as a kid (so much for Enid Blyton!) and it was to change the way I wrote my own stuff from that day on. Dark, apocalyptic and very very good - the film/graphic novel '30 Days of Night' borrows heavily from this: a group of people trapped in Los Angeles by a vicious sandstorm are picked off one at a time by vampires... A great read!

I read this book when I was 15 and it honestly scared me. It was one of the first times I realized how a book can be that scary!

Robert McCammon has made himself one of my favorite authors with this masterpiece. It is definately one that I could not put down and when I had to...kept getting excited for when I could pick it up again. You want a good vampire storyline...this should be at the top of your list.

Another McCammon triumph. If you've read Swan Song, you'll love They Thirst - or vice versa. Best vampire book ever written. Kicks Twilight's ass. Well, Twilight is for teens. They Thirst is for adults.
