This is probably my very favorite Jodi Picoult books, and I've read A LOT of them! It's gripping and looks deep into religion and emotion and the human soul.

Just finished this book last night. This is my second book by the same author and I am definitely seeing a trend in her plot lines...controversial law case, focused attorney with a love interest, and surprise ending.Not as good as "My Sister's Keeper" but very engaging. It took me a little time to get into this book but once I was about 1/2 way through I was hooked! Interesting information about the Amish Community and enjoyed the scenes during the trial.

Plain truth was a great book. If you like reading amish books. you will like this one also. This is more of a amish mystery. It was different then most of my amish books I read by different authors but it was still a great book. It lets you into the amish world which to me is very fasinating.

Ties with my sister's keeper for my favorite Jodi Picoult novel. It's a page-turner from the beginning. A fascinating look into a population that many people aren't familiar with and choose not to understand. Don't be put off by the somewhat boring cover - it's AMAZING!

I was actually shocked to read that there are people in this world who still live as if technology does not exist, and how strong their believes are. That a father can "disown" his son simply because he wanted more. What I like about Jodi is the fact that she chooses controversial topics. I'm never bored reading one of her books. It's always challenging your own beliefs.
