What a story! Virgil writes about emotions and feeling better than anyone. What a roller coaster of a story, vibrant and as relevant today as when it was written.

This is a classic, of course, but I have to say it wasn't really to my taste. I think you have to be very interested in old greek culture to find this very interesting. But, as mentioned it is a classic, and one of the great works of the Antique ages, so if you're very interested in literature, I reccommend it, more as a learning experience than anything else. Want to sit down and just enjoy a good book, pick something else. ;)

Listened to the first few books on audio, but enjoyed it so much that I finished it in print. Very enjoyable to come to these classics later in life, now that I can appreciate them.

Very readable; very accessible translation by Patric Dickinson. The characters had flesh and lots of blood (!).
