Great Concept, too bad Tenner bury's you in tedious examples and endless diversions. A graduate student
in architecture of environmental science might find it engaging, but not many else.

Great book. As thinking beings, we tend to believe we are invulnerable and our decisions carry no cost. This is rarely true. Almost every decision we make carries consequences beyond the original intent. This book explains the hows and whys of these consequences and why simply making a decision isn't always the right path...determining potential consequences can lead one to make altogether different decisions.

This book is a tough but rewarding read. It requires concentration and contemplation but the title is quite accurate. It is applicable to social engineering as well, not just such example as early football helmets for safety that came to be used as battering rams leading to more protective gear.
