I am only part way through this book right now and I cannot put it down, the way Murakami writes - the storytelling and imagery keep me quite intrigued, and I so rarely read fiction - this one is a treat. I first read his biography about writing and marathon running - non-fiction - and enjoyed it so much decided to read my first novel of his. I think this was a great choice.

read this book maybe 2 or 3 years ago...though it had been on my to read list for awhile...i saw a hardback book of wind-up a long time ago in a used book store and it looked interesting...should have bought it then...but damn didn't...anyhow....friend brian recommended it to me and sent me his own copy...which i have to return btw.... could not put this book down! fantastic. I then recommended it to another friend...who loved it...and he recommended it to another friend...who loved it....so what i am saying...is this book is very hard not to like....and most people i feel will enjoy reading it....so far the greatest murakami book!!!!!!!

Mezcla entre realidad y fantasía muy bien combinada. Lo peor: el libro no merece un final tan poco logrado. Igualmente recomendable.

This book gave me some very weird feelings...!!! On the one hand, I was curious and kinda enjoyed the idea of Toru being isolated in a well to reach the inner side of him self. On the other hand, I didn't like the dark side of the book. Nevertheless, after finished reading the book, I had to call someone just to say "I miss you...!!!"...Maybe it was a little bit irrelevant, but I suddenly felt that love is hard to find, and even harder to keep....!!!
