Oy, kids, all right: bit of controversy here. While the love story was good and the war bits were good, I thought he was long-winded and kind of numb (lacking in emotion.) I kind of don't get the hype (le sacrilege!) Let me know what you think of Hemingway*.*I love his short stories.

Every couple of years or so, I come back to this. Have been reading it since I was eleven so it's like revisiting an old friend.

Great book. I love Hemingway's style and he goes to town. Interesting story with interesting characters and a great read. I highly recommend this book, my favorite Hemingway novel to date.
