Just the most graceful, richest poet there ever was. And that's hyperbole, my man. Don't worry about all that metaphysical apparatus. We're all a little crazy, one way or the other. Just sink into it like it's a snifter of the finest Irish whisky. A lifelong delight, and never out of my hands for long.

Yeats is a classic. Very good at its best. Very something else at its worst. But knowing his work is a part of basic knowledge that one should be familiar with.

Yeats' poems "Second Coming" and "Brown Penny" are probably the best I've ever read. Brilliant!

The work of one of the three greatest poets of the 20th century in my opinion (the other two being Rilke and Eliot). A must have for anyone interested in modern verse. My personal favorite are "The Stolen Child", "An Irish Airman Forsees His Death", "Sailing To Byzantium", "The Second Coming", and "Byzantium."

Beautiful, heartfelt poetry full of passion and all the angst of unrequited love. While I think Maud Gonne made Yeats what he is in a way, much of his romantic poetry is so poignantly beautiful that his anguish is heartbreaking. One of the undisputed greatest poets of all time.

Yeats is the author of many of my favorite poems. "The Stolen Child" being the best.
